We work directly with your suppliers — through structured audits, improvement programmes and hands-on NPI support — to build the quality, capability and process discipline your product requirements demand. Sourcing gets you the right supplier. Development makes them perform.

Why it matters

A qualified supplier is not the same as a capable one.

Supplier approval gets a supplier on your list. It does not guarantee they can consistently deliver the quality, capacity and responsiveness your production requires — especially when product complexity increases, volumes ramp or a new component enters the development process.

The gaps that matter most — process instability, quality management weaknesses, insufficient NPI capability — rarely surface in a sourcing event. They surface on the production line, during a product launch, or when a customer returns components.

Supplier development addresses these gaps before they become disruptions. It treats the supplier as a partner in a structured improvement journey — with defined targets, measurable milestones and technical support at every stage.

How it works


Step 01 — Supplier Capability Assessment and Audit
We conduct structured audits of priority suppliers — assessing process maturity, quality management systems, production capability, measurement systems and NPI readiness. Each audit produces a detailed gap analysis with a prioritised action plan, agreed with the supplier's management team and tied to specific performance targets.

Step 02 — Improvement Programme Execution
We manage the improvement programme alongside the supplier — providing quality engineering support, facilitating problem-solving sessions, tracking action plan progress and escalating where milestones are missed. Programmes are structured around measurable outcomes: defect rate reduction, process capability improvement, delivery reliability and cost structure. Progress is reported against the baseline established in Step 01. 

Step 03 — NPI Support
During new product introduction, we work at the interface between your engineering, procurement and quality teams and the supplier — ensuring the supplier understands the technical requirements, has the process capability to meet them, and is supported through APQP, PPAP or equivalent qualification processes. NPI is where supplier capability gaps cause the most damage. We close them before launch, not after.
